AWANA is a Bible-based, Christ-centered program
for children ages 2 yrs-5th grade.
Our primary goal is to teach boys and girls the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. Each fun-filled club includes scripture memory, Biblical principles, games, a fun theme, songs, uniforms, badges and awards. Children learn how to memorize God’s Word, study the Bible, and apply it to their lives. As children complete various stages in the AWANA program, they earn awards. Our prayer is that all children throughout the whole world will come to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Life Covenant Church AWANA program runs from September through May. The club meets on Tuesday nights from 6-7:30 pm. We invite families to come between 5:15 and 5:45pm to enjoy a home-cooked family dinner.
What does AWANA mean?
The word AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."
What is AWANA Club like?
AWANA is a fun approach to making the Bible alive and relevant with caring trained leaders who invest time, love and wisdom into shaping children’s lives. While kids are having fun together each Tuesday night, they’re learning about Jesus and growing in their faith in Him, too. They learn Bible verses and spiritual truths. They encounter life lessons that feed their soul. They participate in games and activities that train their bodies. You are also invited to a family dinner from 5:15-5:45pm. (Kids stay with parents in the fellowship hall until the program begins).
