Why should I consider being part of the Breeze Online Directory for Life Covenant Church?

Creating a user access account in Breeze will allow you to view and update your own basic contact information, add a picture for your profile, view your giving history and print your own giving statements. Additionally, if you Opt In for being part of the online directory, you will be able to search the database to view general contact information about others who have Opted into the Online Directory. An online directory ensures you have access to the most up-to-date contact information we have about others in our church family. And you can access it from your Mac/PC or mobile device through the Breeze app. The more people who choose to participate, the more beneficial the directory becomes for the LCC family as a way of making contact with one another.


Is Breeze secure?

This is a great question and one you should be asking. Ensuring personal data is protected for our church family is very important. FYI - The LCC staff has been using Breeze as its administrative database for several years with no security issues.

How do I create a user access account?

There are a few ways that you can create an account. You may go straight to the LCC Breeze login page and create an account from there, or from an email invitation. If you go to the church webpage, you'll enter your name and email - if it matches a record in the database, you'll receive an email to create an account.  If you got an email invitation to set up an account, you won't need to enter your name or email. Either way, once you receive the email to "Create An Account", click on the link and from there you'll set up a username and password. That's it!


How do I "Opt-In" to be part of the online directory and update my contact information? 

After you have created a user access account and are logged into your profile, you can "Opt-In" to be part of the online directory by clicking on the "My Profile" button along the page. In your profile page below your name and contact information, you will see a section called "Other." Move your mouse over the grey bar with the title "Other." Click on the " Click to Edit Section" link that appears in the grey bar. Scroll down in that section to the field called "Opt Into Online Directory" and choose "Yes" in the drop down menu. This is also where you will go if you Opt In and ever wish to Opt Out again.


To edit your personal contact information, follow the same instructions above for editing your information found in the "Main" or "Contact" sections.


How do I add a picture to my profile? 

Once you are logged into your user access account, click on the "My Profile" button along the top of the page. Then click on the image icon to the left of your name in your profile. Follow the instructions to upload a picture to your profile. FYI - If you are doing this from your browser on your phone, you may need to turn your phone to the horizontal position to see the "set" button.


Can I create a user access account but NOT participate in the online directory?

Yes. You may choose to create a user access account allowing you to view and edit your own contact information as well as view and track your giving history. But as long as you do NOT "Opt-In" to being part of the online directory, other standard users will not be able to view your contact information.


If I Opt-In to being part of the online directory, who will be able to view my profile and what information will they be able to see?

If you create a user access account and Opt-In to being part of the the online directory, other people within the Breeze database who create a user access account AND who also Opt-In to being part of the online directory will be able to view your basic contact information (name, phone number, address and email address and profile picture if one is included.) Additionally, since the LCC staff uses Breeze regularly for various administrative purposes, staff members have administrative-level access to see this basic contact information regardless of whether you have "opted in" to the online directory or not. If I Opt-In to be part of the online directory, will others who have access to the online directory be able to see information about my kids?

All user profiles in Breeze, including kids, are set by default to NOT be included (visible) by other standard users in the online directory. For kids profiles to be visible by other standard users in the online directory, the parents have to go into their kids profiles and "Opt In" to be part of the online directory. Here are the exceptions: a) parents will automatically be able to see other family members' profiles, including their kids, who are listed as "family" within their user profile; b) if parents go into their kids' profiles and "Opt-In" to being part of the online directory, then other users will be able to see these kids' information; and c) since the LCC staff uses Breeze regularly for administrative purposes, staff members have administrative-level access to see family members regardless of whether they have "opted in" to the online directory or not. 


If I Opt-In to be part of the online directory, can I limit/customize the information visible by others?

Yes, you can Opt In to being part of the online directory and mark certain contact information as "Private Data" which makes it invisible to others in the online directory. To do so, choose "Click to Edit Section" in the gray bar of whatever section you want to edit. Then, go to the particular information you wish to make "private" such as "Phone" and click "Show More Options." Choose "Make Private" then hit "Save" back in the gray bar of that section. That information is no longer visible by others in the online directory.


Will others who are part of the online directory be able to see my giving history?

No. While Breeze is the church management system that LCC uses to record all charitable contributions given to LCC by individuals, this giving history is confidential information and is not visible to other users in Breeze except in the following situations: a) each person who creates a user account will be able to see and track his/her own giving history to LCC as well as the giving by others who are identified as "family" in their profile. (In other words, spouses will be able to see giving records for both people if their Breeze profiles are linked together as a family unit, which will most often be the case for married couples.); and b) the three LCC staff who have bookkeeping and/or accounting responsibility have access to all giving records in Breeze.


Can I print my own giving statements in Breeze?

Yes. Since Breeze is the church management system that LCC uses to record all charitable contributions given to LCC by individuals, each user who creates an access account will be able to view and track his/her own individual/family giving throughout the year AND has the ability to print his/her own giving statement. Keep in mind that if printing your own giving statement for tax purposes, please allow the LCC bookkeeping/accounting staff some time to ensure all giving is received and entered into Breeze. Therefore, we will work to ensure all giving for the previous year is entered and complete by January 15th of the new year. Until further notice, LCC will continue to mail giving statements to all givers by the end of January each year. Can I access Breeze through a mobile app?

Yes, you may access Breeze through the Breeze App for iOS or Android.


To access Breeze through the iOS app:

  1. Download the Breeze App on your mobile device from the App Store for iOS here or by searching and finding Breeze CHMS in the iOS app store
  2. Open the App. When prompted, type in lifecchelena.breezechms.com as the church subdomain and hit Continue. 
  3. You'll be prompted to login entering your unique username and password that you created when you set up your user access account.
  4. Once you have successfully logged in, enjoy using the app! 

To access Breeze through the Android app:

  1. Download the Breeze App on your mobile device from the Google Play Store here by searching and finding Breeze CHMS on the Google Play Store.
  2. Open the App and enter the Church ID. The Church ID is lifecchelena.breezechms.com.
  3. After entering your correct Church ID, you'll be prompted to login entering your unique username and password that you created when you set up your user access account.
  4. Once you have successfully logged in, enjoy using the app!
